Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is appointing a Director of Urgent Care and Medicine to lead the day-to-day operational running of unscheduled care services. The role has oversight of operational performance and contributes directly to delivery of the Trust’s strategic plan, working with divisional teams and external health economy partners to achieve corporate objectives. The postholder will represent the Trust externally and lead highly skilled multidisciplinary teams across complex services. Candidates need extensive senior operational experience at or near Board level, strong change leadership and a record of delivering quality services within challenging financial and performance environments.
